Kimber Custom II First Shot

First off I've always wanted a 1911 full size pistol as far as I can remember. I have never shot one before in my life until today. I love this gun. It feels awesome in my hand and it shot straight for me on it's virgin run.

The Magazine of course is complete junk and was the main problem of the 4 jams the pistol had in 80 or so rounds. A quick tap and rack fixed all jams. The sights take a bit getting used to, specially shooting at a black target. I lost sight picture a few times. The sights are all blacked out. Watch the video for a good view of the sights.

I thought it was gunna be on the chopping block to sell, because ammo was no where to be found, and the ammo that was, was way to expensive to even consider buying. I was patient and found win. white box at walmart for $32 a box of 100. I got 4 boxes. Off to the range I went.

I only paid $680 for this 1911 brand new from a dealer and its packed with tons of features, however I feel I need some better mags, and sights. I would like to get a fiber red front sight and keep the rears black. My buddy has his P226 Sig set up like that and I like that set-up.

All in All I shot it once and loved it. I now will invest money into it in the form of better mags and better sights. Its a keeper!!!!
