McFarland 1 piece gas ring

I had a lot of PM's and comments reguarding this part. I final shot with the part installed. Shot fine, cycled well and had none of the issues some have complained about. As in it being too lose and not cycling, or to tight and having a hard time going into battery. I had no issues at all. Upon removing the bolt for inspection I see no issues there either. Rings still look good and carrier looks good too. I will be going to carbine drill on Tuesday, so they will get the full test then, cause Fatty don't play at drill, he Dominates!!!! I hope to make another video of some more rapid fire drill stuff. Later Dudes....

Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9X40 Scope

I actually bought this scope locally from Bass Pro Shop. It was the same price at Bass Pro as all the sites on the net that I looked, so I said what the hell I'll get it now and not wait for the shipping. All of us know how bad it sucks to be stuck at home held captive waiting on UPS or the like. I picked up a Primary Arms scope mount for it. http://www.primaryarms.com/product.sc?productId=13&categoryId=88
The mount worked well and is solid for the price of $25.

So I mounted it and packed up my gear and hot the range. I went threw 40 rounds of ammo at 25 yards and not being able to even come close to the center? What was going on? I was getting extremly pissed. Do I have a defective scope? Is the cheapo mount junk? Nope all is well, it was the jackass who mounted it fauly...ME!!! I did a classic rookie mistake and mounted it 90 degrees off in the rings. my knobs were not in the right position so when I adjusted it it went the wrong way. Luckly a range worker noticed it and I had my torx bit screwdriver with me and I turned it in the ring to where right and left is on the right and windage is on the top. Then he did a poor mans sight bore alignment. We took oof the upper and removed the BCG and he looked threw the barrel and then the scope and got it close enough to hit paper. 3 shots later I'm dead nuts on the bullseye!!!! Operator error....

Millett DMS-1 with Burris PERP Mount

First impression it is heavier than I thought it was gunna be (scope and mount together). It was an easy install, but the mount does have 6 screws per ring so I used a torx bit screw driver instead of the included tool, which would take way to long to evenly tighten all the screws. Once I got the reticle straight in the mount I took it to the range. It sighted in with three shots at 25 yards. The adjustment knobs are big and easy to turn with positive felt clicks. The knobs are also marked clearly for easy quick adjustments when shooting at longer distances. It has an "Illuminated Donut-Dot" with a 1 MOA dot inside of the donut. You can sight in using the donut as a gauge. Dead center at 25 yards then lower edge of donut is 50 yards etc. without losing your 25 yard zero, meaning you dont touch the dails on the scope. The reticle is crisp when on, except in direct sunlight. However the etched reticle is still very visible and the illumination is not even needed. once the sun went down I had to turn it down and it was perfect all night. I put around 160 rounds threw it that day including rapid fire of 3 (30) round mags. Held zero fine. I left it on for around 4 hours with no issues of fading or losing power. I will continue to give updates on this set-up. I bought it here thanks to dakine427's advise and tons of research on the net. http://swfa.com/Millett-1-4x24-DMS-PEPR-Combo-P42148.aspx

I need to get to the range!!!!!

Sup, I have so many new parts and acc. to try out it's crazy. I have a Bushnell Elite 3200 scope 3-9X40 with a primary arms mount. ( I call this my cheapo set up) I have a aimpoint micro replica with a 1" riser I need to sight in and see if it retains Zero so I can attach my primary arms quick detach riser to it. I have to mod the primary arms riser to fit the "fakepoint", so I need to see if the fakepoint is even worth the effort before I start grinding on the mount. I also have the one piece gas ring and weaponshield to try out. Gas ring is installed and WS applied, just need to shoot the damn thing.
